When showing my work at galleries, art shows and other trade and consumer events people frequently confuse my work with more traditional fine art mediums such as watercolor and oil or acrylic paintings. This is due in part to my traditional fine art training in painting and my desire to merge those traditional mediums somewhat seamlessly with the newer, high-tech digital art medium.
All of my work starts as one or more of my original photographs. From there I determine what levels (if any) manipulation and embellishment will be added digitally, or in the case of my pillows and mixed media pieces, mannually.
